![]() ![]() At least they had this small app called Logi Capture that did what it was supposed to do, and stayed out of the way, but they never updated it for M1 Macs, and for newer versions of macOS, and what replaced it, is an abomination. I use for work a Logitech C920 webcam that belongs to my company, and it's a great webcam, amazing quality for that type of camera, but the software keeps getting worse and worse. I do agree that Logitech makes good mice, which one in particular are you using?Īnd if you're using a 3rd party software to manage it, much better because the software division of Logitech lately has been taken over by idiots. Well, my hands are not too big, so that's not a problem, in fact I prefer small mice like the typical notebook ones because with my wrist on the desk, I can move it with my fingers in every direction and it has more travel. My life changed when I went to Logitech, they are amazing, track on glass, comfortably fit in the hand, rather than the weird made-for-tiny-hands Magic Mouse. So, are you all using the Magic Mouse for Logic, and if not, what do you use? I might switch to another mouse just to use Logic, although I think the scroll direction absurdity probably will remain the same, but if I can avoid the dancing of the piano roll like someone having spasms, then I'm happy. But you connect the same mouse to a Mac, and it just moves the pointer in a weird way, even if it says it's compatible with Macs. Somehow it's easier to stop where you want to click on something, or select text. Windows has a much better tracking algorithm for mice. There doesn't seem to be a mouse that feels right in macOS. Either way, you never get what logic dictates.Īnd you might ask, why not get another mouse. Unless you leave the scroll direction as it comes, what they call "Natural", and then you still have the same problem, but reversed. But the Apple geniuses decided that down is more and up is less. We learn from a young age that down is less and up is more. The whole things starts to shake, like if you were trying to write something and somebody shaking the table, so you get really annoyed and GODDAMNIT KEEP IT STILL!!! □Īnd on top of that, the scroll direction doesn't make any sense. So you lift it up and you blow on it, or maybe you have a small vacuum cleaner next to you.Īnd if you have that mouse and you're a Logic user, there's another point of aggravation, which is editing any notes in the piano roll. One spec of dust or hair, dog or human, and the pointer starts moving slowly and erratically. Tell me if this rings a bell: you use the Apple Magic Mouse, which is the best mouse in the world to scroll in every direction, but it sucks for almost everything else. ![]()
